CIBIE was established in the year 2015 with an objective to inculcate innovation driven entrepreneurship among engineering students.
CIBIE offers common facility to the incubatees such as; Work Space, Conference Room, IT infrastructure and power. The incubatees are also mentored to refine their ideas through validation. The abstract of their ideas are shared with Entrepreneurship Development Forums such as TNSI, Forge Accelerator etc. This gives the students an opportunity to attend workshop on Idea Pitching and fine-tune their skills to become a thorough professional.
Centre for Innovation Business Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIBIE) has 17 startup companies since inception who work on technology based solutions on various fields such as Software as a Service (SaaS), product automation, Agriculture based software application development, product innovations on Agriculture implements, Organic value added products etc. The founder of startup companies is of students/ alumni/ local entrepreneurs. Out of 17 startups, 3 Agri Tech based startup companies founded by alumni and local entrepreneur raised grant from EDII-TN of Rs. 7.5 lakhs through Innovation Voucher Programme (IVP) to convert their idea into prototype. Multi rotor Tractor Rotavator and Roto-Tiller, Development of Automatic Jeevamirtham preparation Machine and Development of Coconut dehusker and fibre separation Unit are the three ideas selected under IVP scheme. One of our student startup named “Stark Tech” working on drone development for cleaning of rivers, ponds and other water resources. FarmYield Agri products LLP is another startup company incubated with CIBIE gives training and production of virgin coconut oil.
CIBIE organizes various programmes to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the campus. CIBIE organizes a meeting with successful entrepreneurs to share their experience with students to create awareness. Conduct Idea Pitching Contest among students to come out with innovation based Start-up Ideas that solves an important problem. Students with best ideas are mentored and encouraged to transform their ideas to prototype and eventually become an incubatee.
1. Seyonn Technologies (2015):Founded by Mr. K. Krishnaraj and Mr. Ashok Kumar currently has a team of 6 members. Seyonn website development, ERP Software for hybrid farms, Billing software for retail industry, SEO work for farms, I-Farmer App for buy and sell produce, updation of daily market price of produce, weather forecast, organic farming, terrace farming, and the contacts of experts, availability farm machineries and equipments.

2. MASH Technologies (2016): Mr. S. Vignesh a 2016 passed out CSE student of MCET started this company. MASH has developed two major products one is the lorry transport aggregator and the other one is Tractor aggregator called Gold Farm. MASH is the technology partner for Mercury since August 2017. Government of Karnataka is a client of MASH and Mercury who are working towards implementing the Gold Farm tractor aggregator in Karnataka.
3. Awerum (2017):Mr. K. Muthuselvan an alumnus of MCET partnering with Mr. M. Raguram, founded this company in 2017. Awerum offers IT services such as; web application, mobile application development, digital marketing, web services, e.commerce solutions, and custom PC app development.
4. IronMan Technology & Consultant (2019):Mr.M.Vinod Veeranan is an alumnus of MCET graduated in the year 2009 from Electrical and Electronics Engineering. After a decade experience in the IBM and growing to become an expert in AI and Automation he has moved out to start IrontMan Technology at CIBIE. Mr. Vinod has a great passion is sharing his knowledge and skill to his juniors in the campus.
5. Mayon (2019):Manoj K Srivardharn is an alumnus graduated as Automobile Engineer in the year 2020. He is a founder of Mayon Technologies. The idea is to integrate technology to create an aggregate for waterless Car Wash. For this purpose he has done a research to identify certain chemicals that would clean, wax and shine the cars at a low cost and without wastage of water. He is also developing agricultural aids and accessories like “Jeevamirtham” Producing machine and “Plantanomous” for combined tilling, sowing, weeding purpose..
6. HASHh Automation (2019):M/s. R. Lakshman Karthik and G. Guru Aswath from Electronics & Communications Engineering 2018 batch passed out students of MCET have started a company called HASHh Automation which offers home automation of electrical appliances. The specialty of this venture is that the equipments are manufactured by the alumni and it is their own invention.
7. Terrain Industries Ltd.,(2020):T. Praveen founder of Terrain Industries is an alumnus of 2016 batch belongs to Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The start up incepted virtually in the year 2020 with CIBIE. It offers a high performance electric vehicle with good acceleration and long range at a single charge. We have almost spent two years of research and developing prototype and testing it to come out with the best product that could be a game changer in the auto industry over IC engines.
8.Stark Tech (2022): S.B.PranavKumar is a student from Mechatronics Engineering. His startup is to develop UAVs serving to clean water bodies. His startup shares a physical space to develop UAVs.
9.Farm Yield Agri Products LLP(2022):V.Sethupathy and N.Rajesh Alumni of MCET are founders of the startup. They produce virgin coconut oil and give training to village people to produce virgin coconut oil.
10.Brains of Tech (2022): A. Srinand is a founder of the startup who is a student from Computer Science Engineering. His startup focus on digital marketing, UI/ UX development and Social videography. He has been given with space for developmental activities.
11.Campus To Home (2022):S.Ashwin Jeeva from Mechatronics Engineering and M.Dalmia Ramshankar from Mechanical Engineering students incepted a startup with the aid of ABT Parcel Ltd., to cater the logistics need of the hostel students.
12.Avini’sshakes (2022) : C.R.Vaidheeswaran is a founder of Avini’s shakes who is a student from Mechatronics Engineering. This startup trades the milk products and serves within campus.
