Value Added EducationCourses aim to provide learner centric technical training. The main objectives of the program are:
- To provide students an understanding of the expectations of industry.
- To improve employability skills of students
- To bridge the skill gaps and make students industry ready.
- To provide an opportunity to students to develop inter-disciplinary skills.
In addition to the infrastructure and lab facilities available in the Department, Value Added Training Centers established in CSE in collaboration with industry leaders are used for conducting these employability enhancing Courses. The Courses focus on skill development and more than 50% of the time is spent on practical training and problem solving.

One-credit courses:
The department offers One-credit courses to provide additional skills and incorporate industry-oriented training for students. These courses will be delivered as hands-on training and will not be conducted in regular classroom mode. This would help the students to acquire practical knowledge on the latest technology and tools. One credit course shall be offered for a minimum of 15 lecture hours / 30 practical hours duration in every semester. This course will be offered fully or partly at our institution, industry and R&D labs by faculty members of MCET, and experts from industries and R&D establishments. Every Student should opt for a minimum of four ‘one credit’ courses in addition to the prescribed curriculum.
